BENEFITS OF PLASMA PEN
Plasma Pen “fibroblastic” is highly versatile and is very effective in smoothing out wrinkles. tightening the eyelids, and can lift and rejuvenate any area of the skin.
- Improve and brighten skin tone, laxity, and texture
- Tighten loose skin
- Dramatically reduce, inflate, and plump lines and wrinkles
BENEFITS OF PLASMA PEN
As we age, the dermal layer thins and less collagen is produced which causes our skin to wrinkle and sag. The pen and our fibroblasting technique are designed to dramatically repair, reverse, and mitigate these signs of aging.
HOW DOES PLASMA PEN WORK?
It works by converting electrical energy into electrostatic energy which is transmitted to the probe by impulse. At about 1mm from the skin, oxygen and nitrogen are mixed to produce an arc of plasma which discharges onto the epidermis. There is an immediate contraction of the skin tissue and also thermal disruption within the dermis. This stimulates collagen production for the next few months and also activates and releases important proteins in the dermis.
The highly accurate and controlled trauma that is caused to the epidermis makes the skin dry superficially into tiny carbon crusts, which falls off within a few days. After this falls off, you will have beautiful and rejuvenated skin at the surface.
PLASMA PEN Vs. PLASTIC SURGERY
The pen is the only treatment outside plastic surgery that can be performed on the eyelids. With the pen, no injectable anesthetic is required, no scalpels and no stitches or sutures are required. This treatment is very low risk with minimal side effects and very short downtime. Most patients will be able to return to work the same day after the treatment.

HOW MUCH DOWNTIME DO I NEED AFTER PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
The side effects of Plasma Pen treatment are primarily cosmetic. You might have some mild tenderness or soreness in the treated area, but this is usually short-lived and can be managed with over-the-counter medication if needed. Your provider will discuss how to manage post-treatment side effects to get the best results. To recover from Plasma Pen treatment means allowing tiny crusts to form on your skin and fall off naturally. You'll probably feel well enough to perform your usual activities but might not feel great about how you look for the first five to 10 days after your appointment. This is why you may want to take about 10 days away from any activities in which you'll be seen by others.
WILL I SEE RESULTS RIGHT AWAY AFTER MY PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
You might see some skin-tightening effects right after your Plasma Pen treatment. However, you'll also probably notice some swelling and redness. The tiny dots that turn into scabs will be more prominent than the cosmetic benefits of your procedure. We encourage you to be patient for three to four weeks while your body remodels the collagen and elastin in the area we've treated. After that time, the culmination of this change in your dermis will be much more apparent.
HOW MANY PLASMA PEN TREATMENT DO I NEED?
Many people achieve satisfying results with a single Plasma Pen treatment. It really depends on the goals you have and the severity of tissue laxity we're asked to correct. If you've got fine lines and wrinkles like crow's feet or smile lines, one treatment may sufficiently correct these problems. If you want to correct significantly loose skin that's creating a turkey neck or jowls, you may benefit from one or two subsequent treatments after your initial procedure. A second treatment may be scheduled six to eight weeks after the first to allow time for the fullness of your tissue changes to occur.
HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE BEST RESULTS FROM PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
Once you've scheduled your Plasma Pen treatment, you want to take extra care with your skincare habits. Ideally, you already wear SPF 30 sunscreen every day (broad spectrum). If you do not, we strongly encourage you to start, regardless of the time of year you're receiving treatment. Additionally, to boost your body's capacity for tissue repair and regeneration, you might begin taking a good multivitamin that contains magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, and vitamins A, C, and E. Finally, to facilitate optimal collagen production, avoid smoking and alcohol consumption one week prior to your treatment.
ARE THERE ANY PRECAUTIONS I MUST TAKE BEFORE MY PLSMA PEN TREATMENT?
In addition to using sunscreen daily before your Plasma Pen treatment, you should avoid using products like Retin-A or other strong exfoliating scrubs or ointments starting 10 days before your appointment. Standard commercial retinol products can be used up until three days before undergoing Plasma Pen treatment. Your provider may advise you to remove eyelash extensions before your appointment if you'll be receiving Plasma Pen eyelid rejuvenation.
IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD AVOID AFTER MY PLASMA PEN TREATMENT?
After your Plasma Pen treatment, your skin may be slightly inflamed and easily-irritated. If your treatment was focused on the eyelids, your provider may advise you to avoid wearing contact lenses for about a week. While your skin is still actively regenerating, visible by the crusts forming and falling off, you may need to avoid hot tubs, saunas, and excessive steam (even in a hot shower). It remains important that you avoid excessive sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen every day; not just for a few weeks but for several months. This will pay off in the form of long-lasting results.
